If you truly like Elton John and his music... DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE!! This movie forever molds Elton John as the epitome of a deviant loser. It in no way focuses on his actual talent, musc, and spirit. In true hollywood spirit of greed to get the dollar - hollywood focuses on the thing they think will bring in the most box office dollars... SEX DRUGS DEBAUCHERY AND DEGRESSION! Just a truly disgusting carnival of over the top efforts to shock and zap you with disgusting details. The music in no way pays homage to the greatness of this artist - and the musical dance scenes are just a complete trainwreck of a joke.

I used to like Elton John before this movie. Bohemian Rhapsody was so much better and if that it what you're looking for save your money! the music is great but the movie was horrific, nauseating, and painful to watch. My sympathy goes out to the real Elton John who must be mortified that people will think of this movie when they think of him now. Smh.

Not a great movie. We saw more silly sunglasses than glimpses into the life of the man who wore them. The story took too long to get started & when it did it focused more on his heavy drug use and partying than it did the man. The resolution came around much too quickly and felt forced rather than something Elton came to through real revelation. The music didn't do justice to the songs they covered. It's hard not to compare to Bohemian Rhapsody which was flawed but did a better job.
